Wayne Greco, President of the Sault Family YMCA Board of Directors, is pleased to be moving forward with the RInC project. “The RInC project will see us bring approximately $3 million in necessary repairs and upgrades to our YMCA “, said Greco.
“We will invest in key areas that will ensure the continued provision of quality programs and services that members have come to expect from the Sault Family YMCA, while allowing us to also become more energy-efficient in our operations”.
Work began in June and will focus on a number of key areas within the
YMCA facility, including:
· expansion of the fitness centre
· refurbishing of locker areas
· renovated coffee corner
· new relocated aerobics studio
The RInC program is part of the Federal government’s economic stimulus plan. The Federal and Provincial governments will each be providing one-third of the project costs, with the Sault Family YMCA responsible for providing the final third. The Sault Family will take a multi-prong approach to address our $1 million financial contribution to the RInC project.
